If you are looking for an estate planning professional, please visit our member directory for a list of members of the Coeur d'Alene Estate Planning Council (CDAEPC) categorized by professions.

The CDAEPC provides an educational and social forum for those professionals in North Idaho active in personal estate planning and trust administration.  The Council is composed of attorneys, certified public accountants, life underwriters, financial planners, trust officers, and charitable planning professionals.  The CDAEPC is affiliated with the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils.

The National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC) is a national organization of professional estate planners and affiliated Estate Planning Councils focused on establishing and monitoring the highest professional and education standards.  NAEPC fosters public awareness of the quality services rendered by professionals who meet these standards.  NAEPC builds a team approach involving cross-professional disciplines to better serve the public's need in estate planning.

The CDAEPC meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month (September - May) for lunch at MacKenzie River Pizza in Coeur d'Alene.  In June, we meet in the evening for a social event which includes elections of officers for the following season.  At each meeting a speaker makes a presentation on a topic of interest to those involved in estate planning.

Persons interested in applying for membership in the Council must qualify as a member of one of the professional categories mentioned above.  Interested persons are welcome to contact a member and attend a meeting as a guest.  In order to obtain an application for membership, please contact the council's secretary.

Coeur dAlene Estate Planning Council is affiliated with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils and joining can fulfill the requirement of belonging to an affiliated local estate planning council to become an Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designee. Please contact the national office at 866-226-2224 to learn more about the Accredited Estate Planner® designation.
